diablos rojissimos

So I’m back in Houston, starting school and trying to find that elusive balance between focus and fun, between photography and photonics and facing reality.

Phase shift.

But the rest of the world goes on hold when Rodrigo y Gabriela arrive in town for the first time in years, when they’re wrapping up their world tour in the south of North America, exactly where are you are, and this is your one shot to see your idols live. Their enthusiasm, their energy, their sheer talent is just awe-inspiring…the way they gradually gravitate toward one another as each song progresses, the way they meet face to face, closer and closer, eyes locking, each daring the other to take it further and further and higher and faster while nodding reassurance, blinking with confidence, knowing and conveying that the parachute’s tripped for their plunge off the edge together.

Three words of advice: watch her hands.

And wait for her smile.
