a taste Niçoise

Nice! It was sunny and bright and beautiful, definitely, but for some reason, I wasn’t quite swept away by the city. The first time I was there, for just a day, I absolutely loved it, and literally dreamed of returning as soon as possible. I think that’s what accounts for my extra disappointment this time around. Maybe I just couldn’t find the same part of town. What I felt, though, and this applies to the entire French Riviera, is that the buildings are either a little dilapidated and ugly (and not in a charming way, as they are at times in Rome) or redone in a way that suggests a Disney World version of a Côte d’Azur village. They’re too perfect. Too orange, too molded – kinda like Lindsay Lohan circa her fake bake era.

But I was incredibly lucky to be there, and the way the atmosphere changes when you cross the Promenade des Anglais from the city onto the coast walk…amazing. The light, salty spray is a dream.

    the girl is hot and also an analogy to Schroedinger cat. The is pensive and expectant but her answer is revealed when she reads the message on the phone. will the cat be dead or alive???????
